Sika Galvashield XP2

Adam Lowe

Sika® Galvashield® XP/XPT/XP2/XP4 embedded galvanic anodes are used in concrete rehabilitation to prevent the formation of new corrosion sites adjacent to completed patch repairs. Sika® Galvashield® XP/XPT/XP2/XP4 anodes consist of a sacrificial zinc core that is activated by the surrounding specially formulated cementitious mortar. The anode is quickly and easily fastened to the exposed reinforcing steel. Once installed, the zinc core corrodes preferentially to the surrounding rebar, thereby providing galvanic corrosion prevention to the adjacent reinforcing steel and mitigating ‘ Incipient Anode’ formation.

Sika Galvashield Embedding Mortar

Adam Lowe

Sika Galvashield Embedding Mortar is a controlled resistivity mortar for use with Sika Galvashield CC anodes. The mortar is designed to provide a low resistance environment around the anode and improved performance. Advantages & Benefits • Easy to use, just add water • Controlled resistivity mortar • Portland cement based • High pH mortar with reservoir of alkali to resist acid generation at the anode • High bulk density • Free carbonaceous or other oxidizable materials

Sika FerroGard 903 Plus

Adam Lowe

Sika FerroGard 903+ is a surface applied mixed corrosion inhibitor, designed for use as an impregnation of steel reinforced concrete. Sika FerroGard -903 is based on organic and inorganic compounds. Sika FerroGard -903+ penetrates the concrete and forms a protective monomolecular layer on the surface of the reinforcing steel. Protection with Sika FerroGard -903 both delays the start of corrosion and reduces the corrosion rate. Corrosion protection with Sika FerroGard-903 increases the service and maintenance life cycles by up to 15 years when used as part of a complete Sika Concrete Repair and Protection System.

Sika Galvashield CC

Adam Lowe

Sika® Galvashield CC embedded galvanic anodes are used to control ongoing corrosion and to prevent the new formation of corrosion sites on reinforced concrete structures. The specially formulated precast cementitious mortar surrounds and activates the sacrificial zinc core. The cylinders are available in a variety of sizes and are quickly and easily installed into concrete to control corrosion activity. When correctly installed and connected the zinc anode corrodes preferentially to the surrounding steel, providing galvanic corrosion prevention and control to the adjacent reinforcement

Sika Damp Proofing Slurry

Adam Lowe

Sika Damp-proofing Slurry is a one component polymer modified cement based waterproof coating comprising of special cement based components and admixtures. When mixed with water a slurry or mortar material is produced for direct application to a variety of construction substrates.
