Warehouse Assistant

EPMS Supplies is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Warehouse Assistant to support day-to-day warehouse operations. This role suits someone hands-on, organised, and committed to maintaining accurate stock control and a safe working environment. In this position, you'll cover a broad range of duties, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. Your key responsibilities will include receiving and unloading goods while ensuring accuracy against delivery paperwork, taking responsibility for the company's freight and assets by identifying and reporting any damaged goods or suspicious activity, and maintaining stock in line with established procedures. You'll use warehouse equipment correctly, support efficient operations by following operational rules and schedules, and assist with inventory control using hand-held scanners and warehouse systems. Above all, you'll maintain a clean, safe working environment and handle all merchandise with care and attention. Key Responsabilities

  • Receive, load, and unload goods, ensuring all items match delivery and dispatch paperwork
  • Take responsibility for the company's freight and assets by identifying and reporting any damaged goods or suspicious activity
  • Store, rotate, and handle stock in line with established procedures
  • Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe warehouse environment
  • Use warehouse equipment correctly and assist with basic equipment care
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures when handling goods
  • Support efficient warehouse operations by following operational rules, schedules, and procedures
  • Assist with inventory control using hand-held scanners and warehouse systems
  • Handle all merchandise with care and attention at all times

Key Skills

  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to follow procedures and work accurately with paperwork and systems
  • Basic computer or hand-held scanner skills
  • Good attention to detail and time management
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
  • Team player with a responsible and safety-focused attitude
